Avianity: Commissions

As much as I'd like to be able to keep drawing for free for everybody, it's no longer a viable option. Not because I'm particularly interested in making a career out of this (though that's a nice thought too), but because good paper and pens and software tend to get really expensive really quickly.

But hey. I'm cheap. :)

I used to have a nice little list here of things I would and wouldn't draw, but I realized rather quickly that that approach wouldn't work. Bottom line: NO copyrighted/trademarked characters, excessive gore, watersports/scat/snuff/vore, or 'illegal' sex (incest, pedophilia, bestiality, etc). Beyond that, it's all negotiable.

If you're interested in commissioning me, send me an email at scarlett@avianity.net, preferably with the word "commission" in the subject. I'm currently not online during weekends, but I'll do my best to respond within three days.

What I can give you: One piece of digital art. One character. Full-body or portrait (your choice), inked (usually digitally, but possibly the real thing), with or without color. You'll get this as either a .JPG or a .GIF, depending on whether or not it's colored. Also, if you want it, I'll mail you one print of same, at no extra charge.

Portrait, color, shading
Portrait, vector-style

You will be emailed sketches/preliminary pencilings as the work progresses. If I'm doing a tablet drawing for you, there won't be paper sketches, but you'll see the work in progress all the same.

What it's going to cost you: Portrait (regardless of style): US $10. One char, no color/shading/background: US $25. One char, colored/shaded, with simple or abstract background: US $35. Extra characters: US $5 apiece; for detailed backgrounds, we'll have to negotiate.

Payment must be received before work is begun. My preferred payment method is a postal money order (or equivalent) in US funds, or PayPal. I will not take checks.
